Azerbaijan joined the second round of the post-2015 national consultations which are expected to help build a collective vision of the United Nations and world leaders to plan a new development framework beyond 2015. The suggestions and recommendations generated by the national consultations will contribute to building a consensus for the post-2015 development planning in Azerbaijan, and help define Azerbaijan’s contribution to the regional and global discourse on the Post-2015 Development Agenda that will retain a clear focus on human development, human rights, equality and poverty eradication, while building on the lessons from the MDG framework, addressing new challenges and putting emphasis on advancing sustainable development.
