Main goal of the project is to establish a single, reliable and comprehensive database on the population of Azerbaijan. The database will ease the registration of the civil status acts and issuance of certificates and national citizens documents.
The Project aims to increase the managerial and technological capacity of SSPF, improve efficiency of the social insurance and pension provision systems in Azerbaijan through automation of main operational processes and data exchange procedures and development of efficient communication between SSPF headquarters and local and regional branches.
The project supports the Government of Azerbaijan in preparation of its third national report under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. The report will contain an update on greenhouse gas inventory in the country, assessment of the country's vulnerability to climate change and an account of ongoing and planned adaptation and mitigation measures to minimize the impact of climate change.
The goal of the project is to create a strong national mine action capacity for planning, coordinating and managing all mine and unexploded ordinance (UXO) related activities in currently unoccupied areas and enable it to expand to areas yet to be liberated. Project facilitates the continued mine/UXO clearance in more time- and cost-effective manner; the conduct of trainings and activities for mine risk education (MRE); the implementation of initiatives on Mine Survivors Assistance; and the promotion of Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action to become the International Centre for Mine Action.
The aim of this project is to support the activities of the State Committee for Family,Women and Children's Affairs (SCFWCA) in their efforts to expand women’s participation in the economic and community life, with a focus on rural areas. The project also builds the capacities of the SCFWCA staff in producing qualitative data for evidence-based policy formulation.
UNDP, in partnership with Leader Women Public Union, has established and supports a Gender Study and Research Centre at the State Pedagogical University. The Centre aims to promote gender sensitive approaches and attitudes among its graduates and through them diffuse knowledge in schools. The project has also has teamed up with IOM to conduct a survey on the situation of migrants’ spouses staying behind in Azerbaijan.

Gender equality recognizes the individual - regardless of sex - as the central figure of societal progress and enables the nation to set on a long and thorny path to democratization and the nation’s sustainable development. The legal framework and policies pursued by the Government of Azerbaijan create enabling environment for women to exercise their rights and advance their position in the society. Since independence, Azerbaijan has ratified almost all essential international documents on the protection of women's rights.
The project goal is to create opportunities for young and disabled women and to fully participate in the economic and social life of their community. The project is implemented under the New World Project, funded by The Coca-Cola Foundation, administered by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
The overall goal of the project is to support economic empowerment for entrepreneurship and employment among rural and young women in Masalli region of Azerbaijan. This project will benefit from UNDP’s experience accumulated throughout the implementation of the similar projects in Sabirabad and Neftchala regions and will use the methodology already successfully tested.
The project goal is to create opportunities for rural women and youth to fully participate in the economic and social life of their communities. The project will be implemented in Neftchala and Salyan regions of Azerbaijan.
The overall objective of the action is to increase the role of the civil society in advancing women’s rights and to promote economic and social participation of rural women through civil society organizations. Capacity development approach constitutes the principal methodology for the implementation of all activities proposed by the action. As practiced and promoted by UNDP, an essential ingredient in the capacity development approach will be to bring about transformation that is generated and sustained over time from within.
