Project on development of Border Crossing Point between Azerbaijan and Georgia launched

Today, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Azerbaijan, together with the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has launched a project to support the development of a border crossing point between Azerbaijan and Georgia. The project will be focused on the Red Bridge crossing point and is financed by the European Union with a total budget of over 2 660 000 million euro.

Training held for State Border Service representatives

From 11-13 April, trainings were held as part of the joint project “Better coordination on the border between Azerbaijan and Georgia” between the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), European Union, and State Border Service. During the trainings, experts from the State Border Service and UNDP representatives worked to determine which areas within the border service unit needed additional training.

Training Participants in tourism sector awarded

On 6 April, training participants on tourism management and services were awarded with certificates recognizing their achievement. The trainings were part of the joint project between the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Overall, nearly 60 students of Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University participated at the trainings, with 35 of them being recognized for their successful completion of the course.
