  • Statement by Antonius Broek at the International Conference on “Capacity Development during Public Administration Reforms”Jul 9, 2015It is my great pleasure to join you at this important event, the international conference on Capacity Development during Public Administration Reforms. The conference is organized within the framework of the Institution Reform Plan 3 (IRP3) “Strengthening civil service training in Azerbaijan with a focus on EU affairs”of the Comprehensive Institutional Building (CIB) Program of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) of the European Union. Our meeting today is part of the Project on Support to the Civil Service Commission, which is funded by the European Union and implemented by UNDP in cooperation with CSC.

We decided to visit Ganja, because Ganja is a historical city with a rich and unique culture where most of the population is youth. Ganja is also a vibrant place driven by the spirit of youth with a strong passion for life. Now I know why Ganja is selected to be the 2016 European Youth Capital!
